Tak Design is a high-profile industrial design and mechanical development studio, recognized internationally for its innovative solutions. Its openness and adaptability to its clients' needs favour conceptualization of smart and durable products, based on the firm's design, and their development based on its engineering.

Tak Design was founded in 2006 by three industrial designers; Daniel Tassé, Jo-Philippe K Laflamme and Alain Martel. Marc-Antoine Archambault became a partner in 2010, bringing the expertise of his firm, Momentum Design.

After studying environmental design at the Université du Québec à Montréal, Mr. Tassé worked for 16 years at Canadian Voice Data Switching (CVDS), first as a Section Head in the Mechanical Drafting and Design Department and then as Supervisor of the Printed and Electromechanical Circuit Design Group. After 2 years coordinating mechanical development for the Mining Automation Program at STAS Montreal Division, Daniel Tassé, in 1999, became a partner in Nb Design Inc., an industrial design consulting firm specializing in the design of technological and consumer products. Holding multiple object design patents, he finally founded the new product development firm, Tak Design Industriel Inc., in 2006, along with two partners.

After obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from the Université de Montréal, Mr. Laflamme explored Italian design in 1998 at the Donegani & Lauda studio in Milan. Upon returning to Canada, he was the only product designer for several years at MAC Closures Inc., a company specializing in plastic injection packaging production for the domestic and pharmaceutical markets. From 2001 to 2007, he simultaneously worked as a course lecturer at the école de design industriel of the Université de Montréal and as founding President of K design, a product development consulting agency, mainly dedicated to objects manufactured by plastic injection. In 2006, he pooled his expertise with Daniel Tassé and Alain Martel to found Tak Design Industriel Inc.

Mr. Martel has built up his experience over the past fifteen years as an independent designer employed by reputable consulting firms. His contribution to the design of multiple large-scale projects has allowed him to deepen and broaden his intervention capacity on different problems related to product development. After graduating in industrial design techniques from Cégep du Vieux-Montréal in 1989, he continued his studies in environmental design at the Université du Québec à Montréal. In 2006, in partnership with Daniel Tassé and Jo-Philippe K Laflamme, he founded Tak Design Industriel Inc., where he participates actively in the role of senior designer. Since the beginning of his practice, he has always kept abreast of new trends, new technologies and even new challenges in related fields.

After graduating in Industrial Design from the Université de Montréal in 1980, he immediately worked for 4 years at GSM Design, the industrial design firm specializing in transportation and consumer goods. He then worked for 2 years at Douglass Ball Design Inc, an international firm specializing in office furniture design. His career path led to 10 years at the CRIQ (Centre de recherche industriel du Québec), where he applied his aptitudes as a multidisciplinary project manager for the design and development of high-tech products for varied fields. In 1996, he founded Momentum Design et Développement Inc., an industrial design consulting and mechanical engineering firm, specializing in high-tech product design for the medical and consumer fields. In 2010 his firm joined Tak Design to complement and strengthen their expertise. Active in the design community, he served as Vice-President of the Association des designers industriels du Québec (ADIQ) for 5 years and on the Board of Directors of the Association of Canadian Industrial Designers for 2 years
